South African Hein's story is different. "I was a normal guy, with a normal job, leading a pretty ordinary life," he says. Hein was working as a bouncer at a popular Johannesburg night-club back in the 80's when a good friend of his, who did private dance shows for women, got him to join what would end up being a long standing career for Hein- one that eventually grew into a successful business.
"It sounded like fun, but I was sceptical ," he admits. "He was showing me a couple of moves and how to work with fire when he got a phone call."Without asking Hein if he was interested, the friend committed him to doing a show where an extra male dancer was required."I was thrown in the deep end,"he says. At that first show , Hein was nervous as hell as he watched the fried performing on stage while he waited for his turn to come. "As I went on stage, the girls went wild. They all knew me from the club where I was working."From that moment,Hein was hooked."it took a lot of hard work:long hours in the gym, eating correctly, and long hours of choreographing dance moves; but eventually managed to pull everything together to produce a powerful show that hit SA by storm." Bookings started rolling in and eventually Hein built up a group of well-built, attractive guys to join him on stage at gigs all over the country. The Coverboys were born! Two years later, the Chippendales performed in South Africa and this opened a lot of doors for Hein and his Coverboys. "The press was constantly comparing us to them," he says." After they left, there was a lot of demand for us to perform." Their act became popular, and women all over South Africa were tripping all over themselves to see the sexy dancers. "They took us into there hearts and we became very popular." This awesome company has been going for a very long time and gets stronger every year. We were the first to start performing for ladies over the years for ladies only nights.
